TARU ONSEN(足温泉)

TARU ONSEN located very close to MAGA ONSEN.

It's 700m drive from Maga onsen and it's at other side of the river.

TARU has newer facilities than Maga onsen and has 2 inside bath and a outside bath.

A small bath with 2 jets, you can massage your back with the water pressures.

other inside bath is just plane bath, probably 15-20 ppl can be go in at once.

Outside bath (露天風呂) is rocky styled and made by wood.

There are 2 visible water source in outside bath.

Water should be similar or same to Maga onsen, however I felt slightly less quality of hot spring.

price is 420yen there are showers and taps to wash your bodies.

There are a soup available for free but no shampoo. So you have to bring by yourself.

Kids younger than elementary school students are free.

Water temperature 39-40, i think.

Outside bath felt more warmer/hotter.

Yumoto hot spring (湯本温泉)

YUMOTO ONSEN(湯本温泉) is in Nagato-shi in Yamagichi.

The onsen is even better than Yubara onsen in Okayam. Alkaline ph9.65 is definitely good for taking care of your skin. 

This facility called Ontou(恩湯).

The bath water temperature is quite low, it's around 37-8 ℃.

At first, it feels cold. But after sitting in there 10minutes or so, it starts getting warmer. after 20minutes, woohoo, sweating!!

30minutes-1hour is best time spending in the bath longer than 1hour, you gets more tired. If you feel too tired having bath try half body.

MAGA ONSEN(真賀温泉)

Maga hot spring is located not too far from Yubara IC

Maga hot spring facility is very old and seems very traditional

 Below picture is comparing how Maga hot spring looks like 1931 and now 2014

Maga hot spring has PH9.4 alkaline water, you will surprise how water feels different from other onsen.

From my experience more higher PH they have water gets sleppery. You need to careful not slipping on the tiles(lol)

Maga hot spring is reasonably cheap.

150y for general admission

250 for mix gender bath

1000/hr for family bath (max. 3ppl)
